Position, comfort of bed, friendly chatty staff. Rooms on the small side, very pricey but I guess that is just New York |

Helpful obliging staff The fact that the renovation, presumably as part of its re-branding as a Star hotel, was nowhere near complete at the time I checked in. TV in the room yet to be wired in properly. No breakfasts available for another 2 weeks. No system yet in place for putting bar bills onto the room account. Only one lift working etc etc |

Bed was very comfortable; room clean; staff helpful and friendly. Difficult to find - assume related to recent name change of hotel; would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room; ideally needs another lift |

The hotel is very well located. The hotel had two major issues: (a) a single, small and old elevator to serve all building and (b) no minibar in room. |

The lift was extremely slow and took ages every time I went in and out of the hotel which was very frustrating and made my stay not enjoyable. |

The Hotel was under reconstruction with noise from the construction sites 6.30-22.30, dustclouds, one small elevator for too many people. Total chaos. Close the hotel until reconstructed - or let people stay for a cheaper price. Guests need all their sense of humour. |

My wife is in a wheelchair and the room was easy for her to get around. The staff should be recommended for their professional services. The elevator was too small for over four people to be on, at one time. With my wife's wheelchair, there was only room for us and maybe one other person. The other problem was, whenever the elevator ewas coming down to our floor,it would already be full and we would have to wait a very long time to be able to get down.We waited several times for 20 minutes or more, and that led us to be very irritated. |

Now called "Stay". Nothing. How on earth can one open a hotel before it is totally ready? Yes! The price was too high for a hotel under reconstruction! The room was tiny, had not enough light and no minibar, which was enoying as the hotel could not offer any room service nor any breakfast in the morning, they only recommended us to a restaurant near by... |

Location and friendly staff was the best. Only one small elevator was operating due to continued renovation. Had to wait for the elevator half of the time until it dropped off passengers.. |

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was just renovated so it was very modern, very nicely done The rooms were very small even for new york standards and they only have one very slow lift that was very small. |

this hotel was taken over the week before our stay. The rooms, although small, were clean and the bed very comfortable with quality linen. Due to the change in ownership there was much activity changing bedding etc There was only one elevator in use and long delays were experienced, especially when the elevator was used for replenishing furnishings etc due to the change. There was an excessive amount of noise during the night from building work taking place adjacent to the building - eg skips being loaded and lifted and erected pm |

Location was excellent The room, hallways and elevator (1) were all very small. Not that it mattered, but it would have been nice information to have earlier. There wasn't a closet in the room, which made the small area more cluttered. Probably not the best place for someone with a lot of luggage, but great for a quick overnighter in the heart of the action. |

Location is perfect, the room is good for Manhattan. The only thing was the elevator, there is only one elevator for the guests and the hotel staff clean up, so if you need the elevator you have to wait a little bit. |
